Born in Lithuania. In 2008, Indra graduated from Glasgow School of Art, Silversmithing and Jewellery department. Recently moved to Barcelona. Works in silver, gold-plate, resin, semi-precious stones.
Artist's Statement
Before starting to make jewellery, Indra was involved in sculpture. Consequently, although she now works in a different medium, her interests in shape, structure, geometry, pattern, etc. continue to be explored through jewellery techniques. For Indra, architecture and fashion design are where she looks for inspiration. Indra’s jewellery is about colour, shape and contrast. In the future artist would like to continue making larger scale, wearable jewellery pieces, as well as mounted wall pieces, and to collaborate with different artists.
