Artist's Statement
Emily graduated from Sir John Cass in London with a BA Hons in Silversmithing, Jewellery & Allied Crafts. She can now be found nestled in her idylic studio near Rye, East Sussex where she design's and make's her collections, one-off pieces and works to commission.
Emily takes her inspiration from electron microscope images, which can show the molecular world around us magnified by up to 1,000,000 times, thus enabling us to see the framework of nature. The repetition of these microscopic shapes fascinates her, although being structurally unique, the forms still merge and fit together to create distinctive sculptural forms.
