London based, contemporary fine jeweller inspired by the architectures found in mineral and rock formations. Materials include silver, gold, precious and semi-precious gemstones. Since graduating from Kensington and Chelsea College in 2006 with a triple grade Distinction and award for outstanding work, Mandana has been selected to participate in a number of exhibitions and invited to showcase her work at various galleries around the country.
In 2007, she was selected as one of only 16 new ‘up-and-coming [jewellery] design stars’ in the UK to showcase her work at the ‘One Year On’ section on New Designers. Since then, she has been a regular exhibitor at Dazzle exhibitions, featured in publications as far as the USA and has set up her workshop in the heart of Central London.
Inspired by the diverse formations, sequences and architectures found in minerals and rocks, Mandana utilises traditional jewellery making techniques to fabricate limited edition, one-off and bespoke pieces of jewellery alongside batch production ranges.
Built and finished by hand, precious metals of varying carats and colour are immaculately prepared and soldered together to re-create patterns and structures corresponding to those found in nature. Shimmering gemstones and lustrous pearls are specially sourced and incorporated into her pieces for added sparkle and depth.
Her highly alluring sculptural pieces have an original style, capturing the essence of negative space through their three dimensional quality while reflecting light with movement. Her alterable pieces have been designed specifically to suit different occasions from day to night.
