Artist's Statement

Having graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, I  furthered my studies in jewellery at the Royal College of Art.

Since 2010, I have been exploring the use of non-precious materials in my jewellery, such as plastics and resins; materials which are often discarded or overlooked, yet, when combined and reworked can be imbued with value. Plastics are manipulated to create fluid forms, which playfully explore pattern and colour. Exploring the contrasts between complex and simple elements; satin-finished, layers of simple bright banded plastic are set against intricately patterned, glossy domes of resin.
